We provided a branded photo booth for the high-energy Powerade sports academy event. Powerade spent 2012 as the official sports drink of both the London 2012 Olympic Games and UEFA EURO 2012. During this time, the company aimed to build sports credibility and participation through its brand vision ‘Champion Inner Strength’. Powerade works from the inside, and the brand aimed to differentiate itself from other sports brands by focussing on inner values– giving your best, trying hard, achieving your own goals and gaining confidence.
The Powerade Sports Academy was a week-long event held at Acton Sports Arena. The event was the culmination of a worldwide competition, featuring young adults between the ages of 17 and 21 flying in from all over the world, including Brazil, Australia and America to compete in a mini-Olympics before the real thing.
The objective was to position Powerade as the sporting arm of Coca-Cola, raise brand awareness and execute a product push by giving away free drinks and Powerade T-shirts.
And why was dreambooth there? To join in the party! Our aim was to provide a Powerade branded photo booth, add to the party atmosphere and entertain the guests in the party marquee. It was a celebrity-studded event with a relaxed, international vibe. DJs and a lot of yummy food added to the vibe. Speakers included Australian swimmer Ian Thorpe and legendary Ukranian pole vaulter Sergey Bubka.
Along with the branded photo booth, we organised photo branding and a branded interface.
